What it is
A skin consultation is a dedicated appointment focused entirely on understanding your skin, its history, its current condition and what you would like to change. It includes a detailed discussion, an examination of your skin and a personalised plan. For clinical imaging that shows what is happening beneath the surface, add our AI Skin Analysis, normally £50 and £0 throughout November 2026.
There is no obligation to book treatment afterwards. Many patients leave with a skincare-first plan, and some with reassurance that nothing needs treating at all.
What it may help with
- Understanding what is driving a particular concern
- Prioritising where to start when several things bother you
- Building a realistic, long-term skin plan rather than chasing quick fixes
- Deciding whether professional treatment is right for you at all
Who it may be suitable for
Anyone aged 18 or over who wants an honest, clinically informed view of their skin, whether you are completely new to skin treatments or reviewing an existing routine.
Who it may not be suitable for
We do not consult with or treat anyone under 18. If you have an active skin infection or a medical skin condition requiring diagnosis, we may recommend you see your GP or a dermatologist first, and we will say so plainly.
What to expect
We begin with your story: your skin history, health, medication, lifestyle and goals. Your practitioner then examines your skin in clinic lighting and talks you through what she sees, in plain English, not jargon. Together you agree a plan, which may involve skincare, treatment, both, or simply monitoring.
Consultation & safety
A full medical history is taken at every consultation and kept confidentially. If any treatment is discussed, its benefits, limitations, risks and costs are explained before you decide anything. You will never be asked to commit on the day.
Aftercare
You will leave with a written summary of your plan and honest guidance on what to expect. If a course of treatment is agreed later, aftercare is provided at each stage.
Possible side effects & risks
A consultation itself carries no treatment risk. Where treatments are discussed, their specific risks and side effects are explained individually so you can weigh them properly.
