What it is
Skin analysis is the foundation of how we work. It is a bookable consultation in its own right at both clinics, and throughout November 2026 we are waiving the £50 fee to celebrate the opening of our Winchester clinic.
Our clinical skin analyser uses multiple light spectra and high-resolution imaging to capture what the eye cannot see: UV damage forming beneath the surface, pigmentation in its early stages, redness and vascular patterns, congestion, texture and hydration. The system maps your skin across multiple dimensions and presents the findings as clear images and scores we review together on screen.
What it may help with
- Seeing the cause of a concern, not just the surface appearance, for example, whether dullness is dehydration, texture or early pigmentation
- Prioritising honestly when several things bother you
- Establishing a baseline, so progress at your reviews is measured rather than guessed
- Catching early sun damage and pigmentation while prevention is still the best treatment
Who it may be suitable for
Every patient. It is particularly valuable if you have never had your skin professionally assessed, or if previous clinics have recommended treatments without ever explaining why.
Who it may not be suitable for
There are no meaningful restrictions, the analysis is non-invasive and involves only light and photography. It is not, however, a substitute for medical assessment: if imaging or examination raises anything that needs a doctor's opinion, we will tell you plainly and suggest you see your GP.
What to expect
You rest your chin on the analyser for a few moments, rather like an optician's examination, while it captures a series of images under different light conditions. It is quick, comfortable and completely non-invasive. We then sit down together and go through what your skin is actually doing, layer by layer, in plain English.
Consultation & safety
The analysis informs your consultation; it never replaces clinical judgement. Recommendations are always made by your practitioner, based on the full picture, your history, your goals and your skin in person, with the imaging as supporting evidence.
Aftercare
None needed. Your images and scores are stored securely on your confidential record, so each review can measure genuine change against your baseline.
Possible side effects & risks
None, the analysis uses light-based photography only. No UV risk to the skin arises from the imaging process itself.
