What it is
SkinVive by Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid treatment placed as very small microdroplets just beneath the skin surface. It is designed to work on the quality of the skin itself, its hydration, smoothness and the way it reflects light, rather than to add volume or change the shape of your face.
It sits in the same family as our other regenerative treatments. Nothing is filled or lifted. The intention is skin that behaves better from within.

Who it may be suitable for

Who it may not be suitable for
Not suitable under 18, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or where there is a known sensitivity to hyaluronic acid products. Suitability is assessed at consultation.
What to expect

Treatment itself is a series of very small injections across the treatment area. Most people describe it as brief and manageable. You will usually see small raised points immediately afterwards, which settle within about a day.
Consultation & safety
Every journey here starts with a consultation with a registered nurse prescriber. Your medical history, medication and skin history are reviewed before anything is offered, and you will be told plainly if this is not the right treatment for you.
Treatment never happens at a first appointment unless you have had a full assessment and you are ready. There is no obligation to proceed at any stage.
Aftercare
Keep the area clean and avoid make-up for the rest of the day. Avoid heavy exercise, saunas, steam and very hot showers for 24 hours. Avoid facials and other treatments in the area for two weeks. You will be given written aftercare and a direct contact route after your appointment.
Possible side effects & risks
Common and expected: small raised points at the injection sites, redness, mild swelling, tenderness or bruising, usually settling within a day or two.
Less common: prolonged swelling or bruising, lumps requiring review, infection. Rarely, vascular complications, which is precisely why treatment here is delivered by a registered nurse prescriber with complication protocols and emergency medicines in clinic.
