What it is
Restylane Skinboosters (Vital) by Galderma is a soft hyaluronic acid gel placed as tiny droplets just beneath the skin. It is made to hold water in the skin, so it works on skin quality: hydration, smoothness and glow. Nothing is filled or lifted.
It is priced per session, so you can start with one and decide how you feel. Most people see the best result from a course of three, about four weeks apart. A course is £420, or £340 at the opening price.

Is it right for me?
Adults who want healthier-looking, better hydrated skin on a smaller budget, and who do not want added volume or a change to their features.
Not suitable under 18, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or where there is a known sensitivity to hyaluronic acid products. Suitability is assessed at consultation.
On the day
It starts with a consultation, including an AI Skin Analysis where useful. Treatment never happens until you are fully assessed and ready, with no obligation to proceed. It is a series of very small injections across the area. Most people find it brief and manageable. Small raised points settle within about a day.
Aftercare and risks
Keep the area clean and make-up free for the rest of the day. Avoid heavy exercise, saunas, steam and very hot showers for 24 hours, and other treatments in the area for two weeks.
Common: small raised points, redness, mild swelling, tenderness or bruising, usually settling within a day or two. Less common: prolonged swelling or bruising, lumps needing review and infection. Rarely, vascular complications; we have complication protocols and emergency medicines in clinic. Results vary between individuals.

All three work on skin quality, not shape. Restylane Skinboosters is priced per session and usually given as a course of three. SkinVive is usually one session. Profhilo is usually two, and suits early loss of firmness. We recommend the one that suits your skin after your consultation.
